The smoking socket is a dangerous and serious issue that requires your immediate action. First of all, you need to find out why the smoke is started and is there any fire in the wall. If you just plugged your electrical appliance and noticed the smoke, take the following actions:
- Turn off the circuit and unplug the device;
- Touch the wall next to the socket. If it`s hot, leave the house immediately and call 999.
- If the wall wasn`t hot and the smoke stopped when you unplugged the device, you need to find out what caused the problem. Possibly, it can be an appliance.
- It`s better not to put on the circuit until you found out the reason for a smoke.
If you can`t find the reason for smoke, please contact us at 24T Electrical services via email sales@24telectrical.com or call 01635 879009.
